Start Seeing Motorcycles


A man was seriously injured when he crashed his motorcycle in southeast Wichita early Monday morning, authorities said.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was spotted lying on the side of the street at Lincoln and Hillside at about 1:44 a.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.


COLUMBUS, Ohio - Two people have died following a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle on the city's northeast side Monday morning.
Franklin County sheriff's deputies responded to the 3000 block of Westerville Road on a report of a crash involving a motorcycle at about 9:56 a.m.
According to the sheriff's office, a Hyundai Sonata was attempting to turn left onto Albert Avenue from the southbound lanes of Westerville Road (S.R. 3) when it was struck on the front passenger side door by a motorcycle that was traveling northbound on Westerville Road.
Laquita S. Lewis, 24, was seated in the front passenger seat of the Hyundai at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office. She was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Laquita's sister, 19-year-old Nikitesha Lewis, was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash. She was transported to an area hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the motorcyclist is not being released at this time.
Westerville Road was closed between Angler Road and Oakland Park Avenue during the crash investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
